A project in West Virginia required Acoustical Control to create a stand alone building called the ‘Electronic Control Room’. The ‘Electronic Control Room’ contained all of the electronics that ran the required compressor station. With the total amount of electronics costing close to $1 million, this structure had strict requirements with a heavy emphasis on temperature control. In addition, the structure had to be completely watertight. Due to the unique requirements of the job, Acoustical Control designed a customized HVAC system for this building which included two 40-ton AC units. These large AC unit had to be housed on a platform above ground because of space limitations. The platform was designed to hold the weight of the AC units as well as needing to be compatible with the design of the building. In addition, a compressor building was also constructed on site.
