A recent project in Eastern Ohio turned our established approach to noise mitigation into the successful completion of a Temporary Barrier Wall project. In order to maintain proper mandates, an installation of multiple barriers for a proactive producer was put in place to reduce impact to neighboring homes in advance of operations. When one neighbor voiced concerns about the project affecting his home’s foundation, Acoustical Control performed a 72 hour study monitoring acoustical and seismic data during operations. The study concluded the damages incurred were not in any way related to any operations from the well pad, avoiding further delay or litigation. In this project, our acoustical and seismic study was crucial to keep the project moving forth while maintaining strict guidelines.
